❓ FAQ & Info

🎮 What is this?

Twitch RPG is an interactive overlay game. Your viewers become adventurers who battle monsters, collect loot, and level up through chat commands while watching your stream.

👀 What do viewers see?

When someone starts an adventure, animated battles play out on your stream overlay:

  • Pixel art character sprites based on their class
  • Monsters that get progressively harder
  • Damage numbers, health bars, effects
  • Loot drops with tiered rarity

💬 How do viewers play?

Everything happens through chat:

  • !adventure - Start a run
  • !join - Join someone's party
  • !stats - Check progress
  • !inventory - View items
  • !class warrior - Pick a class

⚔️ How does combat work?

Combat is automatic. Players attack monsters, monsters fight back. The goal is to defeat as many as possible before dying.

🎯 Think of it like an idle game. Viewers start runs, watch the action, and gradually get stronger over time.

👥 Party System

Up to 4 viewers can adventure together. They all appear on screen and fight tougher monsters for better rewards.

📺 What do I need to do?

Once set up, almost nothing! The system runs automatically. Some streamers react to boss kills or rare drops, but it's optional.

💰 Cost?

Free. This is a passion project.

🐛 Issues?

It's actively in development. Report bugs via Discord or Twitch - we're building this with the community.

🔧 Setup Guide

Once your channel is activated, here's what you'll need:

1. Browser Source in OBS

Add a Browser Source with your unique overlay URL (provided after activation).

⏳ Your custom URL will be provided once multi-channel support goes live.

2. Position the Overlay

The battle area is designed for the bottom-left portion of your screen. You'll want to crop or resize the browser source to fit your layout.

💡 Every stream layout is different - adjust the size and position to work with your existing elements (camera, alerts, etc.).

3. Optional: Channel Points

Create a Channel Point reward to let viewers spend points to start adventures. Name it something like "Start Adventure".

This is optional - viewers can always use !adventure in chat for free.

💬 Chat Commands

Your viewers will use these:

!adventure Start a solo run
!adventure @user Invite to party
!join Join open party
!class [name] Choose class
!stats View progress
!inventory Check items

📦 Inventory Panel

Viewers manage equipment through the Testing Hub:

  • View all collected items
  • Equip/unequip with drag & drop
  • Compare item stats
  • Works on any browser
Inventory is tied to their Twitch account, not your channel - progress carries everywhere.
